Forms migrated for USAF Missile Command

22 August 2007, Oxford, UK.

Quintessence Systems Limited has completed the migration of a small but critical Forms application for the United States Air Force. Using its in2j Forms software, QSL automatically migrated the USAF system - comprising 28 forms adding up to 12MB of code - into the Java™ language.

The migrated Forms system is used by USAF Missile Command for a live mission application. USAF cited as its main reason for migration the inadequate source code control systems associated with Forms - problems that are now easily overcome with the code migrated into Java.

Technical sign-off on the software migration was confirmed by USAF on 21 Augist 2007.
