in2j Reports migration available

27 June 2008, Oxford, UK.

A Reports version of the in2j automated software migration tool is now avilable, Quintessence Systems Limited revealed today.

The development of the in2j Reports capability has been accelerated following requests from ISV customers who want to migrate entire applications incorporating both Forms and Reports elements, into the Java™ language.

QSL also confirmed that it intends to match its existing Forms offer by migrating a sample Report for prospective customers at no cost.

"We have decided to prioritise the development of in2j Reports for a very simple reason - our customers are asking for it", said QSL Development Director Oliver Tickell. "It makes sense that when an organisation decides to migrate its Forms code into Java that they want to do the same with their Reports. We intend to make sure they can do that and will be working flat out to make this capability available as soon as possible."

He also called for potential development partners with Reports to migrate to contact QSL. "We welcome the opportunity to test the in2j Reports capability against real Reports and not just standard text book type examples. Development partners will receive a discount against standard costs as well as winning a head-start against their competitors."
